Trains run regularly to Wollongong on the South Coast Line and the stadium is within walking distance of the station.
Remember, you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.
If you’re driving, travel with your group and use nearby local parking. Allow extra travel time as traffic may be heavier than usual. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.
More ways to pay
If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.
Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.
Metro services start from the early morning running every 10 minutes until late. Change at Epping to connect with a train to the City where you can change for a South Coast Line service to Wollongong.

The closest station to WIN Entertainment Centre is Wollongong on the South Coast Line.
The venue is approximately 15 minutes' walk from the station via Burelli Street. Alternatively, you can catch the free Gong Shuttle from Crown Street which stops near the stadium.
Trackwork
Weekend trackwork is taking place on Saturday 23 December on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner:
- City Circle: From 10:50pm to 2am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum. Some trains may start or end at Central, run to a changed timetable or leave from different platforms. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. The light rail runs in both directions between Circular Quay, Wynyard, Town Hall and Central.
- T1 North Shore Line: From 10:50pm to 2am, trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra and Wynyard only. Change at Wynyard for a City Circle train towards Central, or for or for the light rail to Circular Quay, Town Hall or Central. Buses replace most trains between Central and Strathfield. Some limited stop trains run from the City to Leppington via Strathfield, in that direction only.
- T1 Western Line: From 10:30pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Penrith and St Marys, and between Strathfield and Central. Most trains run between St Marys and Ashfield only, to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central or remain on the train if you are travelling to Burwood, Croydon or Ashfield. Some limited stop and all-stations trains run from the City to Leppington via Strathfield, in that direction only.
- T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: Some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern due to trackwork on the T3 Bankstown Line. From 10:50pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Most trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Strathfield only. T1 Western Line trains run between Penrith and Ashfield. Change at Strathfield for express and all-stations buses towards Central, or T1 trains to Burwood, Croydon or Ashfield. Some limited stop trains run from the City to Leppington via Strathfield, in that direction only.
- T3 Bankstown Line: Buses replace trains between Lidcombe, Cabramatta and Bankstown. Trains run between Bankstown and the City Circle, some to a changed timetable.
- T5 Cumberland Line: Some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern due to trackwork on the T3 Bankstown Line.
- T8 Airport & South Line: Some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern due to trackwork on the T3 Bankstown Line. From 10:50pm to 2am, trains start and end at Central. Change trains at Central to continue your journey.
- T9 Northern Line: From 10:50pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Trains run between Hornsby and Strathfield only, some to a changed timetable. Some limited stop trains run from the City to Strathfield, in that direction only.
- Blue Mountains Line: From 9:50pm Friday, most trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only. Change trains at Blacktown to continue your journey. Trains from Blacktown to Blue Mountains Line stations run up to 30 minutes later than the normal timetable. Bathurst trains continue to run between Bathurst and Central. On Saturday from 10:30pm to 2:30am, buses replace trains between Penrith and or Central. Trains from Penrith to Blue Mountains Line stations run up to 30 minutes later than the normal timetable. Buses replace T1 Western Line trains between Penrith and St Marys, running between St Marys and Ashfield only, to a changed timetable.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: From 9:45pm Friday, most trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only. Change trains at Strathfield to continue your journey. You may need to catch an earlier Night Service bus from Central to Strathfield for early morning connections. On Saturday from 10:50pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central. Trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only. Some limited stop trains run from the City to Strathfield, in that direction only.
- South Coast Line: From 9:45pm Friday, trains that normally start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, will instead start and end at Bondi Junction.

Regular bus routes stop within walking distance of WIN Entertainment Centre, including routes 1, 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37, 39, 90 and 92.
A number of regular bus routes make stops along Corrimal Street and Burelli Street to get you within walking distance of WIN Entertainment Centre.
You can also catch a 'Free Gong Shuttle' (routes 55A and 55C) that operates regularly on weekdays and the weekend. The shuttle runs in both directions on a loop from Wollongong Station to Wollongong University via Wollongong Hospital, Burelli Street and the Innovation Campus. L1 Dulwich Hill Line
L1 Dulwich Hill light rail services run between Central Grand Concourse and Dulwich Hill from 6am to 11pm daily, and until midnight on Fridays. Use the Trip Planner to plan your trip.
From Central, change for a train towards Wollongong on the South Coast Line.
L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using Trip Planner.
From Central, change for a train towards Wollongong on the South Coast Line.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching the Wollongong CBD and on local roads around WIN Entertainment Centre as fans travel to the game. Allow extra travel time.
Local roads around the stadium may close to help crowds move safely around the area. Fans travelling to the game on the freeway are encouraged to use the Masters Road exit to avoid congestion at Mount Ousley Road, both in and out of Wollongong.
